This is a blog of our North Glenora Edmonton Renovation and addition. We have a 1950’s cottage roof, 3 bedroom bungalow. We have done a ton of work since we moved into the house in December of 2006 including painting every wall, gutting the bathroom, redoing all of the floors, tiling the front steps, concrete countertops and glass tiled backsplash.
But now we are taking renos to a whole new level, for us anyway, we are adding nearly 400 square feet to the back of our house to take one of the existing bedrooms and the deck and converting it to a master bedroom, a bathroom and a fabulous walk in closet.
It did start with a chair. I have always wanted a chair that I could curl up in and read a book. Over time, as we found ones that we liked, we determined that we both really loved anything and everything mid-century modern. This realization created the idea that we wanted our whole house to have a mid-century modern feel to it.
